November is lung cancer awareness month. Lung cancer is by far the leading cause of cancer, making up almost 25% of all cancer deaths (American Cancer Society). This month is used to raise awareness of lung cancer symptoms and encourage people displaying those to visit their doctor. Included in this newsletter are Stories that focus on malignant pleural mesothelioma and lung cancer – offering new insight for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of the cancers, including the use of cutting-edge technologies and informatics tools to advance research, and a well-known type 2 diabetes therapeutic target as a potential monotherapy.

What the UK can do to reach ‘net zero’ greenhouse gas emissions
