Welcome to our latest newsletter. In this edition, we support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We also feature: The Journal of College of Sharia and Islamic Studies; a centre that nurtures the love for mathematics; Kudos staff picks; and Stories from our COVID and Climate Change Showcases. We've also included a note about a prize draw we're currently running.
Every October, people all over the world show their support for everyone affected by breast cancer. It’s a chance to talk about the causes of breast cancer and how we can act to prevent it; studies show at least 30% of breast cancer cases are preventable. Included in this newsletter are Stories that focus on how artificial intelligence can be used to detect breast cancer and a review of the range of methods available for improving physical, psychosocial, occupational, and social wellbeing in women with breast cancer after receiving breast cancer surgery.
